Zoe Evans CT ABRSM

Zoe started playing the guitar and piano when she was seven years old. Enjoying music throughout her school years, she studied music to A level. After a career in nursing and bringing up her family she decided to return to her first love, music. Teaching just a few pupils at first, in 2004 she began her certificate of teaching course with the Royal Northern College of Music. Her experience has been varied, teaching pre-school children at Rhythm Time , private teaching and other school tuition along with entering alot of pupils for ABRSM examinations. She is keen to encourage her pupils to take part playing in ensembles, teaching both classical and folk styles often arranging music herself. She always tries to adapt her teaching to suit different pupils, and finds it rewarding to see her pupils gain confidence and singing perhaps for the first time. Teaching music notatioin has also lead her to developing card games that she uses during the lessons, these have been fun for her pupils.
