Sarah Jackson BA (Hons) P.G.C.E. Dip. Acting


Born in Buckinghamshire, Sarah Jackson won a scholarship to train at the High Wycombe Music Centre and furthered her knowledge and training at the University College of Ripon and York St John gaining a II:I BA(Hons) degree in Music, Drama and Dance. During her time at University she travelled to New York and studied violin and conducting at the Crane School of Music and then continued her studies on the violin with Herbert Whone in Harrogate, (former leader of the BBC Symphony Orchestra). She then came to London to study teaching and gained a PGCE in primary education followed by a Diploma in Acting at the Drama Studio London. For eleven year following she worked in the theatre as an actor/ musician whilst teaching violin to private students and working as a supply teacher in schools. She now is married with a son and currently performs professionally in Quartet Cabaret, a professional string quartet, giving regular concerts and recitals. Her combined knowledge of performing and her work with children of all ages makes Sarah an asset to the Music for Life team.
