Paul O’Hagan

Paul began playing guitar as a teenager and within a year was gigging professionally. He has played in many bands and has experience of most styles of music after playing and teaching for over 25 years, notching up literally thousands of live performances. Beginning with rock music, he has since played and performed Jazz, Country, Blues and solo fingerstyle all over the country, recording sessions at the BBC’s Maida Vale studios and enjoying radio and TV appearances in various bands and line-ups over the years. Paul’s guitar duo appeared at the Wrexham International Jazz Guitar Festival 2006. He is an active member of the musical community in Manchester and Stockport, appearing at many of the local jam nights, and he organizes a monthly student jam session in order to give students a chance to perform in public, something he believes is essential to the development of confidence and the full enjoyment that can come from playing the guitar.
