Heather is a recent graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music having studied with Jenny Galloway as part of a broad academic music programme with international specialists. Growing up in a musical family, Heather was first introduced to music through the piano and violin from a very early age. Surrounded by music throughout her childhood, she picked up the oboe at the age of 8. She reached Grade 8 on oboe at 13 years old and went on to achieve a Performance Diploma in 2015, as well as her grade 8 in violin at age 14 and piano at age 15.
Heather has performed in a plethora of concerts with the college ensembles during her studies including a tour to Italy in the Summer of 2019, as well as in more high-profile professional concerts with the BBC Philharmonic and Halle Orchestras.

She has much experience delivering workshops in various primary schools across Bradford and the North West as part of a wind quintet and prides herself in showing young people how classical music can be engaging and enjoyable to learn through high quality playing. She is passionate about inspiring the younger generation to be involved in music and believes music should be accessible to all.
