Claire’s passion for singing began at the age of 10 through an amateur dramatics club, which then inspired her to pursue a career as a professional musical theatre performer. She studied at the London College of Music and gained a BA (Hons) Musical Theatre Degree in 2014. During her final year at university her vocals and artistic flair were recognised by a critic from the Sondheim Society for her lead role as Mary Flynn in Merrily We Roll Along.
She toured the UK in a production of Risen! The Musical and was a regular performer with Supercalifragalistique Cabarets alongside other fellow graduates from LCM. She also performed as a lead vocalist with The Buttercups, a 50s acapella quintet, in many London and European venues. Now returned to the North West, Claire wants to inspire young singers through engaging, motivating and – most importantly – enjoyable singing lessons.
She teaches with passion and enthusiasm for her craft, and wants to pass that on to the next generation of singers. Her lessons focus on vocal technique and performance skills in a variety of styles. She believes that learning to sing plays a huge part in building self-confidence among other keys skills such as communication and expression.
