First week of online lessons!

We have just finished the first week of online lessons, teaching around 1,400 students, culminating in around 500 hours of music lessons! It is great to see that despite what is happening currently across the world, students are continuing their musical journey.

We have had so many positive responses from parents and tutors, and some of these are included below. For what is for many people a scary and worrying time, it is great to see so much positivity from their music.

If anyone is reading this and hasn’t got in touch with us about Skype lessons and currently learns with us, please get in touch with us and we can hopefully continue your lessons online over the next few weeks.

All the best and take care

“Just to let you know that my son had his first Skype music lesson today with Jude. For any parents reluctant to use this method I just wanted to share that this worked really well, and it was great for us to be able to see how wonderful and beneficial the sessions are. Please feel free to share this feedback with any parents worried about opting to continue lessons with the Skype option.”

“I am just sending a message to say thank you for arranging the Skype lessons with Iain. My son was a little nervous about it to start with but has finished with a big smile on his face and thoroughly enjoyed the session and is already looking forward to doing it again. Just what is needed!! “

“My daughter has just had her first keyboard lesson via Skype and I wanted to say how well it all went. I think it is great that you have been able to provide this service so quickly and I know she really enjoyed it. Thank you to you, your staff and teachers for adapting to this way of working so readily.”

And here are some comments from instrument teachers, many of whom were unsure about how online lessons may work.

“I was really not sure about starting online lessons but after today and seeing all my pupils little smiling faces and how they were SO pleased to see me I feel totally differently! Most sounded much better than I expected on varying kinds of devices.”

“Just to let you know, lessons went great today! Thanks so much for setting these up. Pupils looked very happy to be doing it and one parent said it was the highlight of their day!”

“Just done my first day of Skype lessons. To be fair it was 99% flawless with just 1 no-show – less than in school!! Other than that, very very positive feedback from me!”

“I had my first Skype lessons today – everyone attended and they went really well, I think. It’s a bit of an adjustment communicating online but all my students seemed to really enjoy it, and I have already learned how I can make things better next week!”
