Steven Turner

PianoStrings

Steven began learning the violin at age 5, and the piano later on in high school, through Music For Life. He went on to study music and composition, obtaining a BMus (Hons) from Bangor University. Steven is an avid orchestral violinist and began to perform with orchestras in the local area starting with the Music For Life Junior Orchestra, and then moving on to perform with the Cheshire Youth Training Orchestra followed by successful auditions for the Hallé Youth and Liverpool Orchestras. He has performed with the Wirral orchestra on occasion and is currently an active member of the Chester Philharmonic and the String Quartet, C-4PO. Although he has only been tutoring for a year, Steven has easily developed an excellent rapport with his students, which in turn has helped them flourish and build their musical skills and confidence. He has thoroughly enjoyed his first year of tutoring and looks forward to entering his first pupils for their music grades and to the wider opportunities that working with Music For Life will bring him.
