Flute

Sandra studied music and English literature at Manchester Metropolitan University. On graduating she began working at various schools in Cheshire – teaching flute, clarinet and music theory. After 4 years full time teaching Sandra then embarked on her teacher training certificate and after completing this began to work for Wirral Borough Council as a full time peripatetic woodwind teacher – this she has been doing for 9 years. Sandra gives regular concerts playing flute and piccolo in various orchestras including the Liverpool Mozart Orchestra, St. Helen’s Sinfonietta, Neston Festival Orchestra and St. John’s Festival Orchestra. She also enjoys playing in smaller ensembles: Wirral Winds (a wind nonet group), a wind quintet and a piano sextet in Chester.
