Woodwind

Linda Howard has been a Woodwind Tutor with Music For Life since November 2005. She has been playing saxophone and woodwind for 25 years, graduating from Dartington College of Arts in South Devon in 1990 and Salford University College in 1994, obtaining a BA (Hons) in Popular Music & Sound Recording. Whilst at college she performed in the college Jazz Big Band, touring Germany, the UK and Greece and performing in big band competitions in the UK, and played Latin percussion in a Salsa band. She currently plays in jazz ensembles, theatre shows and soul/ function bands throughout the UK and Spain. She teaches in numerous Primary and High schools around Cheshire and Staffordshire and teaches adults and children privately from her home in Macclesfield. Her aim as a teacher is to help students gain confidence in their playing, develop a love of all styles of music and provide an inspiring and fun environment in which to learn.
