Janet Barraclough BMus (Hons)

Brass

Janet studied for a music degree at Huddersfield University from 1995 -1998. During this time she was very busy playing with ensembles both in and out of university. Janet was a founder member of Tuba Quartet with whom she played in schools and music festivals. Janet worked towards a PGCE at Canterbury Christ Church university which she found a wonderful experience in learning how to teach music. She now plays in the Northop Silver Band as their principal baritone player. The band is very busy playing in concerts and competing in contests. As well as teaching for the Wirral music service where she conducts a wind band and brass ensemble, Janet started working with Music for Life in September 2003. She has proved to be an excellent, committed teacher.
