Amy began playing the piano at age 5 and the violin, age 7 in Cheshire. Amy then went on to study at Chetham’s School of Music and accepted a scholarship at Birmingham Conservatoire where she continued to perform in master classes and concerts and play in a range of ensembles. Amy gained her BMus (Hons) at the Conservatoire and the PGCE Secondary Music at Birmingham City University following this with the specialism of keyboard teaching. Amy taught as a Music Tutor at David Lewis College to pupils with a range of specials needs and went on to deliver National Curriculum Music to Reception up to Key Stage 2 whilst also teaching some of the core subjects. Amy also led a school choir and established a successful performance club at school and has also helped with strings and keyboard ensembles. As well as her teaching work, Amy also works as a musician where she performs regularly in concerts and venues across the country. Amy enjoys being an accompanist for local choirs and for Musical Theatre where she also works with children to help them perform.
