Alice has played the flute from a young age and as a teenager took up the tenor saxophone as well.  At first she played classical music on the flute and later became interested in Jazz, blues and commercial music.  She obtained an HND in Jazz and Commercial music from Liverpool Community College and then went to Leeds College of Music to study Jazz and obtained a CHE.  Alice has played in many different bands including Jazz, blues, classical, commercial music and played and recorded with singer songwriters.  She has been teaching all ages and abilities for over 15 years privately, in Lark Lane Community Centre in Liverpool and more recently in schools  Alice teaches flute, saxophone, clarinet and recorder.  In 2006 Alice trained as an Alexander Technique teacher which is used by many musicians to improve breathing, posture and technique and to prevent injuries.  Alice has recently taken up singing lessons and continues to enjoy playing, performing and teaching music.
