A few important things to remember

Before booking, please read the following:

Availability

All lessons are subject to tutor and school availability.

Lessons take place during the school day. High school students are given specific lesson times which rotate regularly where possible.

Lessons usually start from Y2 upwards, however for Y1 pupils please get in touch with us as there are sometimes exceptions to this.

Instruments

You will need an instrument to take the course. Your instrument will need to be taken into school each week for lessons (piano and drums are the exception and school instruments can be borrowed for these lessons).

Should you require an instrument, please indicate when you book and we will send information to you about our recommended suppliers. Music for Life doesn’t have instruments for hire directly.

Cost

There are three different lesson types – shared, individual 20 minute and individual 30 minute lessons. Please refer to the ‘parents’ page on the website for fuller details of types and costs of lessons, or alternatively they will be provided during the booking process on the portal.

We take payment via almost any credit or debit card. Payment can be made in full at the point of booking, or monthly payments can be made and set up at the point of booking via the portal.

Commitment

All new courses have a one term commitment period. After which, you will receive a report from the tutor with the option to continue, change or cancel lessons. All other cancellations require a term’s notice.

At the end of each academic year you will receive a report from the tutor and a renewal link inviting you to continue with lessons.
